The chassis is the part of the vehicle subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is particularly noticeable when the vehicle’s body weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or intense acceleration.
In some cases, weight transfer when cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This can result in significant bending, deformation and twisting of the chassis, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting when cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
Suitable for: Mercedes-Benz C-Class III (W204), Mercedes-Benz E-Class IV (C207).
