A vehicle’s chassis is the part subjected to the greatest stress during driving. This is mainly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
In some cases, weight transfer through a corner can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This causes significant chassis flex, deformation and torsional body twisting, resulting in a loss of tyre grip.
Chassis deformation and flex during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
This rear lower chassis brace is designed to be installed at two mounting points and provides additional support for the rear section of the body.
- Product: rear lower chassis brace
- Number of mounting points: 2
