The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest load while driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, hard braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This can result in significant deformation and twisting of the chassis or body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. This rear lower chassis brace is designed to reduce these effects.
