A vehicle’s chassis is one of its most heavily loaded parts, as it is affected by the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than on the other. This causes the chassis to twist and bend, or the body to deform, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting while driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear lower brace helps increase chassis rigidity in the mounting area.
