The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving, particularly due to the transfer of the body’s mass during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When driving through a corner, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can cause greater chassis flex or body deformation, resulting in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis deformation and flexing while cornering can cause poorer handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
This rear lower chassis brace is designed to reduce flexing of the rear section of the body.
- Design: rear lower chassis brace
- Number of mounting points: 2
Suitable for: Mitsubishi Space Runner I (N1/N2).
