The vehicle body is the part that is subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is especially pronounced due to the transfer of the vehicle body’s mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
When cornering, mass transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. The result is significant deformation and flexing of the chassis or body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flexing while cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing brace is designed to provide additional support to the lower rear section of the chassis.
