The vehicle’s chassis is exposed to significant loads while driving, particularly due to the transfer of the bodywork’s weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This results in greater deformation and bodywork flex, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis flex while driving through corners can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace helps increase chassis stiffness around the mounting area.
