The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest stress while driving. This is particularly noticeable when the body mass is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When mass is transferred in a corner, one side of the vehicle can be subjected to a force up to three times greater than the other. This causes significant chassis flex or deformation and torsional body twisting, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting while driving through a corner can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
This Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace is designed to provide additional reinforcement for the rear of the body. It is attached to 2 mounting points.
