A vehicle’s chassis is one of the most heavily loaded parts of the car, as it is affected by body mass transfers during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When driving through a corner, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to 3 times greater than on the other. This causes the chassis or body to flex and deform, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis flex during cornering can cause undesirable driving characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace helps further connect the mounting points and reduce unwanted chassis movement.
