The vehicle chassis is the part exposed to the greatest loads while driving. These loads are mainly caused by the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
In some cases, weight transfer when cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This causes significant chassis flex or body deformation, resulting in a loss of tyre grip.
Chassis deformation and flex during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace is designed to increase the rigidity of this area.
