The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This can result in significant chassis flex or body deformation, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flexing while cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The rear lower chassis brace helps increase the stiffness of this part of the body.
The brace is intended for Toyota GR Yaris XP210 vehicles with a 1.6 GTS engine and 4WD four-wheel drive.
- Type: rear lower chassis brace
