The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
In some cases, the transfer of mass while cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This causes significant deformation and twisting of the chassis or bodywork, resulting in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting while cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
This rear lower chassis brace is designed to reduce unwanted body twisting during dynamic driving.
- Design: rear lower chassis brace
- Number of mounting points: 2
Suitable for: Toyota Highlander II (ASU40).
