A vehicle’s chassis is subjected to significant loads while driving, particularly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration. The Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace helps reduce body flex and deformation.
When driving through corners, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to 3 times greater than on the other. This uneven transfer of forces can cause significant bending and twisting of the chassis, resulting in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis flex during cornering can negatively affect vehicle handling and cause understeer and oversteer. The brace is intended for 2.0T 2WD and 2.4 2WD facelift engines in the second-generation Volvo S40.
