The body shell is the part of the vehicle subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is mainly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and hard acceleration.
When driving through a corner, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. The result is heavy loads, twisting and deformation of the body shell, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Twisting and deformation of the chassis when driving through a corner can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing rear strut brace connects the mounting points at the rear of the vehicle and helps reduce body flex.
- Design: rear strut brace (strut bar)
- Number of mounting points: 2
- Limitation: only for the 2.0 TWIN SPARKS engine and 2WD
