The vehicle chassis is among the parts subjected to the greatest loads as a result of driving style. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
In some cases, weight transfer through a corner can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This causes considerable chassis flex or deformation and torsional twisting of the body, resulting in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting while driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
This rear strut brace is designed to increase body stiffness and reduce twisting. It attaches to 2 mounting points.
