The vehicle bodywork is subject to the greatest loads of any part of the car due to weight transfer during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to as much as three times more force than the other. This results in greater twisting and bending of the bodywork, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Twisting of the bodywork while driving through a corner can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing strut brace helps increase the stiffness of the rear section of the bodywork and limit its twisting.
