The Ultra Racing rear strut brace increases body rigidity around the rear strut towers. The body is the part of the vehicle subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving, primarily due to weight transfer during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
During fast cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This can cause significant twisting and deformation of the body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The brace helps limit body flex, thereby contributing to more consistent vehicle behaviour through corners.
