The car body is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly noticeable due to the transfer of the body’s weight during fast cornering, hard braking or decisive acceleration.
When cornering, the transfer of weight can cause forces on one side of the vehicle to be up to 3 times greater than on the other side. This can result in significant body flex and twisting, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Body deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear strut brace helps increase body stiffness and improve vehicle responsiveness.
