The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly true due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This causes significant body twisting and deformation, resulting in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting when cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear strut brace helps reduce body twisting and improve the rigidity of the rear section of the vehicle.
