During fast driving, heavy braking and acceleration, the car body is subjected to significant loads caused by weight transfer. The rear strut brace helps reduce body flex and improves the rigidity of the rear section of the vehicle.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause uneven loading of the left and right sides of the vehicle. This can result in body deformation and flex, causing the tyres to lose some grip. Increased body rigidity helps reduce undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
