The vehicle body shell is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to loads up to 3 times greater than the other. This results in significant deformation and twisting of the body shell, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing rear strut brace helps increase body shell stiffness around the mounting area and contributes to more predictable vehicle handling.
