The vehicle body is the part subjected to the greatest loads during sporty driving. This is particularly evident when weight is transferred during fast cornering, hard braking or hard acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in high loads on the body, causing it to flex and twist, which can lead to the tyres losing grip.
Flexing and twisting of the chassis when cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The rear body strut brace helps increase the rigidity of the rear section of the vehicle and limit its twisting during dynamic driving.
- Design: rear strut brace (strut bar)
- Number of mounting points: 3
Suitable for: Mazda 3 II (BL).
