The Ultra Racing rear strut brace is designed to reinforce the body of the Mazda 3 BM. The chassis is the part of the vehicle subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving, particularly due to the transfer of the body’s mass during fast cornering, heavy braking and hard acceleration.
When driving through a corner, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can cause significant bending, deformation and twisting of the body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis while cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
