The vehicle body is subjected to high loads during fast driving, heavy braking and acceleration, mainly due to weight transfer through the body.
When driving through a corner, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in greater twisting and bending of the body, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Body twisting when driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The rear strut brace helps increase body rigidity and thereby improve the vehicle’s responsiveness and stability.
