The car’s chassis is the part that is subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
When driving through a corner, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This places considerable loads on the chassis and causes the body to bend and twist, resulting in a loss of tyre grip.
