The vehicle body shell is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or sudden acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This causes considerable chassis flex or deformation and torsional loads on the body shell, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flexing during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing rear strut brace helps connect the mounting points and reduce unwanted movement of the body shell.
