The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This can result in significant chassis flex, body deformation and torsional twisting, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting while cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing rear strut brace helps to further connect the mounting points and increase the stiffness of the rear part of the body.
