The vehicle body is the part subjected to the greatest stress during dynamic driving. This is mainly due to the transfer of the body’s weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This can cause the body to twist and deform, resulting in the tyres losing grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis when cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear strut brace increases the stiffness of the rear part of the body and helps limit its twisting.
