The vehicle’s bodywork is exposed to significant loads while driving, particularly due to weight transfer during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
During fast cornering, weight transfer can cause forces on one side of the vehicle to be up to three times greater than on the other side. This causes the bodywork to twist and flex, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Bodywork flex during cornering can cause poorer handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear strut brace helps increase bodywork stiffness in the mounting area.
