The vehicle chassis is the part that is subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.

When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This can result in pronounced chassis twisting, body deformation and loss of tyre grip.

Chassis twisting and deformation during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The brace helps limit unwanted body twisting and contributes to a more predictable vehicle response.
