The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is especially pronounced due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or sudden acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in considerable chassis flex as well as body deformation and torsional movement, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flexing in corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The rear strut brace increases the stiffness of the rear part of the body and helps limit its flexing.
- Type: rear chassis strut brace (strut bar)
- Number of mounting points: 2
Suitable for: Nissan Micra III (K12).
