The vehicle body is one of the parts subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. These loads are caused mainly by the transfer of the body’s mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or intensive acceleration.
When cornering, the transfer of mass can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in greater body flex and deformation, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Body flex while driving through corners can also cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing rear strut brace connects the mounting points at the rear of the suspension and helps increase body stiffness in this area.
