The vehicle chassis is subjected to heavy loads during fast driving, particularly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, hard braking and acceleration.
When driving through a corner, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This causes the body to twist and deform, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis flex during cornering can also cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The rear strut brace helps increase body stiffness in the mounting area.
The product is intended for Toyota RAV4 II (XA20) vehicles manufactured between 2000 and 2005, with 1.8 4WD and 2.0 4WD engines.
