The vehicle chassis is the part that is subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly pronounced due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, the transfer of mass can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to a force up to 3 times greater than the other. This causes considerable chassis flex or deformation and torsion of the body, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flexing while cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing rear strut brace increases the stiffness of the rear section of the body and helps limit its flexing during dynamic driving.
