The vehicle body is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is particularly noticeable due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
When cornering, mass transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This results in significant body deformation and twisting, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Body deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
This rear upper strut brace is designed to increase body rigidity around the rear strut towers.
- Design: rear upper strut brace (strut bar)
- Number of mounting points: 2
- Restriction: for Toyota Vios XP150 1.5 2WD with a 5-speed gearbox only
