The vehicle body is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly evident when weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This results in greater deformation and twisting of the body, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis when cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear upper strut brace helps reduce the effect of these loads on the body.
