The Ultra Racing rear strut brace (strut bar) connects the mounting points at the rear of the vehicle and helps reduce body flex and twisting during dynamic driving.
The vehicle body is the part subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly noticeable due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can result in severe chassis twisting and body deformation, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear strut brace helps limit this body movement.
