The vehicle body is the part that is subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is particularly noticeable due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, the transfer of weight can cause forces on one side of the vehicle to be up to 3 times greater than on the other side. This causes significant deformation and twisting of the body, resulting in reduced tyre grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis when driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear strut brace helps reduce body flex and improve its stiffness.
