The rear strut brace (strut bar) helps reduce body and chassis flex during dynamic driving. During fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration, the chassis is subjected to significant loads caused by the transfer of the vehicle’s body weight.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to 3 times more force than the other. This can result in increased chassis flex, body deformation and loss of tyre grip.
Chassis and body flex during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The product is intended for Volvo 850 2.5T OBD1 and OBD2 versions with 2WD and Sedan body type.
