The vehicle body is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is especially evident when the vehicle’s weight shifts during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This results in greater deformation and body twisting, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis twisting when cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear upper strut brace helps reduce body twisting and improve vehicle stability.
