The car’s chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly pronounced due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
In some cases, the transfer of mass during cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. The result is significant loads, bending or deformation of the body and chassis twisting, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
