The Ultra Racing rear upper strut brace connects the mounting points at the rear of the body and helps limit chassis twisting and bending during dynamic driving.
During fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration, the body is subjected to significant loads caused by weight transfer. When cornering, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to 3 times greater than the load on the other side, causing the body to bend and twist and consequently reducing tyre grip.
Body twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The brace helps increase the stiffness of the rear section of the body and provides a more consistent vehicle response.
