The vehicle body is subjected to significant loads during dynamic driving. These occur mainly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to loads up to three times greater than the other. This results in increased body twisting and deformation, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Body twisting while driving through corners can also cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear upper strut brace helps to further stiffen the bodywork around the upper mounting points of the rear suspension.
