The vehicle body is the part subjected to the greatest loads as a result of the driver’s driving. This is particularly evident when the vehicle’s body weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
In some cases, weight transfer while cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This causes significant bending, deformation and twisting of the body, resulting in a loss of tyre grip.
Deformation and twisting of the body while cornering can cause undesirable driving characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing strut brace is designed to reduce these effects.
