The vehicle chassis is subjected to high loads during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration, mainly due to the transfer of body weight.
When cornering, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than on the other. This causes chassis flex, or deformation of the bodywork, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis flex and deformation while driving through corners can also cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The brace helps connect the upper part of the rear chassis, thereby limiting its flex.
- Mounting position: rear upper strut brace
