A car’s body is exposed to significant loads while driving, particularly due to weight transfer during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to bear up to three times more force than the other. This causes the body to twist and flex, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Body flex when cornering can lead to poorer handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
This rear upper strut brace helps increase body stiffness around the upper mounting points of the rear struts.
