The car body is the part of the vehicle subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is particularly pronounced due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to forces up to three times greater than the other. This results in greater loads on the chassis, body flex and loss of tyre grip.
Chassis flex and deformation during cornering can cause undesirable driving characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
This rear upper strut brace is designed to provide additional body reinforcement. It features 2 mounting points.
