The car body is subjected to significant loads during high-speed driving, heavy braking and acceleration, mainly due to the transfer of the vehicle’s weight.
During fast cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in body twisting and deformation, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Body twisting while driving through corners can negatively affect vehicle handling and cause understeer and oversteer.
The brace increases the rigidity of the upper section of the rear body and helps limit its twisting.
