The Ultra Racing rear upper strut brace is designed to stiffen the body of the Suzuki Swift IV. The chassis is heavily loaded during fast driving, particularly due to weight transfer during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can lead to twisting and deformation of the body, consequently resulting in a loss of tyre grip.
Chassis flex while driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The brace helps increase body stiffness in the mounting area.
