The vehicle body is subjected to the greatest loads while driving, particularly due to weight transfer during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This causes the body to twist and deform, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting while driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear upper strut brace increases the stiffness of this part of the body and helps limit its twisting.
The brace has 4 mounting points and is intended for Toyota Camry XV40 vehicles with a 2.4 or 3.5 V6 engine and 2WD. For the 2.4 version, a left-hand-drive version for the US market is also listed; the 3.5 V6 version is listed for left-hand-drive vehicles.
